Scripture
Psalm 91:1–3
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.’ Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.”
My Precious Child,
Come closer.
Do not stand at a distance from Me tonight. Do not come to Me only with your polished words, your strong face, or the parts of your heart that seem easier to explain. Come to Me with what is real.
Come to Me with the ache you cannot fully describe.
Come to Me with the weariness you have carried quietly.
Come to Me with the questions, the fears, the disappointments, and the silent places deep inside you that still need My touch.
Come closer, My child.
You do not have to carry your life alone. You were never meant to. You were never created to hold by yourself what only I can hold.
You were never asked to be your own refuge, your own fortress, your own peace, or your own deliverer.
That place was always Mine.
The Secret Place
When My Word says, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty," I am inviting you into more than a verse.
I am inviting you into a way of living.
I am inviting you into nearness.
I am inviting you into a life that rests in Me.
The secret place is not where I ask you to perform for Me.
It is where I ask you to come close to Me.
It is where striving begins to loosen its grip.
It is where fear begins to lose its voice.
It is where your soul can finally exhale and remember that you are safe in My presence.
Dwell with Me there.
Do not only visit Me when you are desperate.
Do not only call out to Me when life feels too heavy.
Remain with Me.
Stay with Me.
Let My presence become your home.
You have lived through moments that made your heart feel like it had to stay alert, guarded, and braced for the next pain.
You have walked through valleys where the weight was real, the tears were real, and the questions were real.
But even there, I was with you.
Even there, My hand was upon you.
Even there, I was drawing you, carrying you, and keeping you in ways you could not always see.
Under My Shadow
When you abide under My shadow, it does not mean darkness covers you.
It means I am near enough to cover you.
Near enough to calm you.
Near enough to shelter you.
Near enough to protect what is trembling inside of you.
My shadow is not the shadow of fear.
It is the shadow of My nearness, My power, and My loving care.
So when your heart grows tired, come under My shadow.
When your thoughts begin to race, come under My shadow.
When your emotions feel too full, come under My shadow.
When the future feels uncertain, come under My shadow.
I am not asking you to figure everything out before you rest.
I am asking you to rest in Me while I hold what you cannot figure out.
Your Refuge and Fortress
When My Word says, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him will I trust," I want you to hear this personally.
Yes, I am your refuge.
When life feels unstable, I am your refuge.
When your heart feels bruised, I am your refuge.
When loneliness tries to settle into your soul, I am your refuge.
When memories rise up and pain still whispers, I am your refuge.
When fear tries to visit in the night, I am your refuge.
And yes, I am your fortress.
I am not only gentle enough to comfort you.
I am strong enough to defend you.
I am strong enough to hold back what you cannot fight by yourself.
I am strong enough to stand over your life when you feel weak.
I am strong enough to guard your heart, your mind, your future, and the places in you that still feel fragile.
Trust Me
Trust Me, My child.
Trust Me not only when the answer comes quickly.
Trust Me when the waiting is long.
Trust Me not only when the road is clear.
Trust Me when you must walk one step at a time.
Trust Me not only when you feel strong in faith.
Trust Me even when you come to Me tired, shaky, and full of questions.
Trusting Me does not mean you never feel pain.
Trusting Me means pain does not become your master.
Trusting Me means fear does not get to lead your life.
Trusting Me means you place into My hands what you cannot carry well by yourself.
Surely I Will Deliver You
When My Word says, "Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence," hear My heart clearly.
I see what you do not see.
I see the hidden traps before you ever reach them.
I see the schemes of the enemy before they ever unfold.
I see the silent discouragement that tries to settle over your mind.
I see the fear that tries to slip in quietly.
I see the weariness that makes you vulnerable.
I see the lies that try to make you question My goodness, My faithfulness, and My care for you.
Nothing is hidden from Me.
Not the tears you do not show others.
Not the sorrow you carry quietly.
Not the heaviness you push through.
Not the mental exhaustion.
Not the emotional ache.
Not the private battle.
Not the places in your heart that still need healing.
I see it all, and I have not looked away.
Surely I will deliver you.
Not maybe.
Not possibly.
Surely.
I will deliver you from fear that tries to paralyze you.
I will deliver you from lies that try to weaken you.
I will deliver you from traps set in secret.
I will deliver you from the pressures that try to crush your spirit.
I will deliver you from the voices that try to pull you away from My truth.
You do not have to live as though fear is your inheritance.
My presence is your inheritance.
My covering is your inheritance.
My faithfulness is your inheritance.
My peace is your inheritance.
I Have Seen Your Life
My child, I have seen your life. I have seen where I brought you from. I have seen the fields of sorrow, the seasons of pain, the questions that once rose from deep desperation, and the long journey of survival that shaped your heart.
I have seen every place where you wondered if anyone saw.
If anyone cared.
If anyone would ever come.
I was there.
I was watching.
I was carrying you through places that should have destroyed you, and yet My hand remained upon your life.
Even in this season, I am still doing what I have always done.
I am still calling you closer.
I am still proving My faithfulness.
I am still healing.
Still covering.
Still leading.
Still delivering.
Stay Close to Me
Do not be afraid to come near to Me.
Do not be afraid to lean the full weight of your heart upon Me.
Do not be afraid to let My Word become more real than your fear.
Let Psalm 91:1–3 become the place where you live.
Let it become the truth you return to when your thoughts are tired.
Let it become the covering you remember when life feels uncertain.
Let it become the language of your faith when your emotions are trying to speak louder than My promises.
Stay close to Me, My child.
When your heart feels overwhelmed, come closer.
When your soul feels tired, come closer.
When old pain begins to whisper again, come closer.
When you do not understand what I am doing, come closer.
When you are grateful, come closer.
When you are grieving, come closer.
When you are hopeful, come closer.
When you are hurting, come closer.
I am your refuge.
I am your fortress.
I am your God.
In Me, you can trust.
Always.
With Everlasting Love,
Jesus
Walking Together
Walking with you in His grace….
One step.
One Prayer.
One surrendered heart at a time.
